Setup each project with labor budgets. Easily add your budgeted amount of labor hours and labor cost to compare the hours and cost of what your team actually put in. Analyze data to track project progress, and view detailed budgets of allocated money and labor hours. See a project’s status in real-time to stay on budget. It's easy to turn on budgets and begin using them.

Turn On Labor Budgets

  1. From your Main Menu, go to Settings
  2. Select "Company"
  3. Turn on toggle switch for "Use Labor Budgets"

Setup a Labor Budget

  1. From your Main Menu, go to Projects
  2. Select a project you'd like to add a budget to
  3. Select "Labor Budget"
  4. You will automatically be taken to the budgeted "Cost" section of the labor budget for this project. You can switch to the budgeted "Hours" section at the top of the screen
  5. To add a budget to the "Cost" and "Hours" section, select "Edit" on the top right of screen. (It does not matter which section you are viewing, once you hit the edit button, you will have the ability to add both budgeted cost and hours.) Once you are finished entering a number, select "Done" 

Note: You can allocate the budgets to your subprojects as well by clicking on the subproject at the bottom of the screen and continue on Step #4. It's under the "Subproject Budgets" section. As your team members begin logging in time, you will see the amount you have used in the "Actual" section in this report.
**If there is a red attention symbol, it means your project/subproject is over budget.

  3. Turn on toggle switch for "Use Labor Budgets"

  1. From your Main Menu, go to Projects
  2. Select a project you'd like to add a budget to
  3. Select "Labor Budget"

(It does not matter which section you are viewing, once you hit the pencil icon, you will have the ability to add both budgeted cost and hours.) Once you are finished entering a number, select "Save" 

Note: You can allocate the budgets to your subprojects as well by clicking on the subproject at the bottom of the screen and continue on Step #4. It's under the "Subproject Budgets" section. As your team members begin logging in time, you will see the amount you have used in the "Actual" section in this report.

  1. From your Main Menu, go to Company Settings
  2. Select the "Time Keeping" tab
  3. Select "Change" next to General
  4. Check the box for "Use Labor Budgets"
  5. Select "Save"


Setup a Labor Budget

  1. From your Main Menu, go to Projects
  2. Select a project you'd like to add a budget to
  3. Select the "Labor Budget" tab
  4. Add a budget to the "Labor Hours" and "Labor Cost" in the Project Budget row in the far right of screen

Note: You can allocate the budgets to your subprojects as well by adding them in the Subproject Budgets section at the bottom of the screen. As your team members begin logging in time, you will see the amount you have used in the "Actual" section in this report.
