Lock Dates are set for each employee to prevent their time entries from being edited while locked. Users who have the ability to edit time cards will not be able to edit locked time cards unless they have the permission level to Manage Lock Dates.

There are two ways Lock Dates are set in busybusy. One of the ways it gets locked is if you are using the Time Card Signatures and have it set where the time cards lock as soon as an employee signs their time card. The other way is if you manually lock each employees' time cards.

NOTE: All time entries are locked leading up to the date shown for the lock date. For example, if you are on a weekly pay period and you are trying to unlock a time entry for an employee's past pay period, your lock date should be any day before the past pay period you are trying to edit. To be more specific, if you are tying to edit a time entry on the first day of the start of the pay period, your lock date should be the day before or the last day of the previous pay period.
